I'v probably seen that bass, but no. I've built a number of basses for Uli Salm, starting with JAEbirds, REVs, and the MAX prototype. This was the last build for him.

So this one is a progression from that. Uli owns a lot of second generation Precisions so he wanted a contoured body but with a J profile neck and TBird pups. The concept was the pups and refin were done in the late 60s and then it was well played.
That's an Allparts 'Tele' neck shaved and tapered to 1-1/2" at the nut. He was OK with either a TBird bridge or the two saddle. I owned a 55 and thought the two saddle adequate so I did it that way.
