It's a nice little bass. It won't change the world. Neither did the original doublecut EB-0 IIRC.

On a positive note, I love the cloverleaf tuners.

I wish they'd use a more traditional looking clover leaf tuner.  If Gotoh can put out a decent copy of a Fender Kluson tuner you figured they could do the same with Gibson.  I just don't like the look of the tuners that they've used on the Grabber, Ripper, SG and now Double Cut (recent) issue basses.

I would like a nice copy of the older Gibson/Kluson, if only to stick on older Gibsons.  But a modern banjo peg would be sweeter.

I like the looks of the double cut well enough considering it's kind of a mish-mash of styles.  The problem I have with those high waisted bodies is they don't work very well when sitting down.  The bass shifts too far to the right placing your plucking hand up by the neck and creating a cramped feeling.  That's the only reason I got rid of my Dan Armstrong.

I'd make an exception for that yellow one though.  That's just pure poetry.

My EB-0 Les Paul basses were probably the most uncomfortable and clumsy feeling basses I ever had.  The body style feels fine for a guitar, but not the best for a bass.  At least when picking up an SG EB-0 right after, which being thinner and contoured works a lot better.

Good idea. Then Gibson could sue ? and the Mysterians for trademark violations.

Their legal department is probably their biggest profit area.

Because some kid stuck it there in 1972 when he refinned it.  Same punk who changed the tuners in '66.
