i wouldnt mind tyring one, even if the body shap reminds me of a westone i once had.or one of those cheapy arias from the 80s.
Louder bass!.

Chris P.

it looks a bit cheaper than the sg because of the solid finish and no guard. yes i am at the messe already with this dutch brand and a bit for the magazine.

they should've used the same bridge as on the goldtop.

Thankfully they didn't. Three point is much neater.  :-*
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I'd say less. Not the same shape. The Monkey Bass has a longer upper horn and I think both its horns are more rounded.

That, and the Funny Money Funky Monkey bass is long scale and has a proper bass bridge.

And different pickups
And a figured top
And the cheesy $ TRC

But otherwise it's exactly the same!  ;D

It sits there like an anchor weighing down the bass.  :P

Just another take off on the old EB0 with pups from another bass.  This just looks goofy.  If it had a dollar sign truss cover I would be happy.  Or maybe a question mark would be better.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Good idea. Then Gibson could sue ? and the Mysterians for trademark violations.

Their legal department is probably their biggest profit area.

The gold top looks stunning in the picture.

I too think the gold top looks stunning. The dbl cut  looks blocky like my genesis. I do like it but would have preferred the early EB re issue.
It takes a very deep-rooted opinion to survive unexpressed

I am actually looking forward to my golden years, when I will buy both one of these things and the aforementioned Money - or whatever it was originally called - and using them as donor/experiment pieces for my own Doc Bass-esque creation.  For that I am grateful.  I figure some Music Go Round will have one with some extra holes and maybe a bumper sticker on there.  There you go.

Sigh.........................for me they blew it. I was hoping for a double cutaway like the early EBO.

I so agree.  Who the hell does their bass development research?
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!
