Title: A marriage in our midst: Congratulations, Mark!
Post by: Aussie Mark on October 16, 2009, 01:31:54 AM: I don't own a hot rod, but I'm getting married tomorrow and the wedding car is a '57 Chev Belair :-)

We've just returned from a week in a beachfront villa on Koh Samui in Thailand

Married life seems no different from our past 5 years together, other than me needing to get used to playing bass with a ring on my left hand, and the sick looking credit card statement.

I have a bass friendly wife too, but I'm keen to try and get used to the wedding ring. I haven't even worn a watch since mobile phones were invented, so playing with a ring on my finger is a little disconcerting.

Some notice it, some don't. I never notice it while playing but others are bothered by a ring.

I've never been keen on having metallic objects hanging off of me. 4 weeks was enough of an annoyance to convince me that it just wasn't going to work. Even if I didnt play an instrument I really dont like watches , rings , necklaces at all.
