So I got a call from the guitar shop with some bad news on my '73 Ripper pickups. They produce no sound, even when wired so they bypass all the other fancy electronics. On their own they registered 6.15-6.3 ohms but produce almost no sound.

Anyone ever try the Seymour Duncan replacement pups?

Where are serial numbers located on Jerry Jones' Neptune Longhorn basses? I can't remember where it was on mine.

I am 100% sure the JJ Seaburst I just bought on eBay is mine (located about 50 miles from where it was stolen).
