The Hercules stand is nice. http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GS412B.html

Those are great....I have one for my T-bird....

But all my basses hang on these when not in use, mounted into studs...http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GSP28WB.html

The bridge is made by a German company called ABM (Müller & Sohn GmbH) hence the metric size, 1.5 mm for the bridge adjustment screws.

Thank you kindly....I wasn't sure if they were metric or not.

Much appreciated!

Spend $3 on a set.

You're being a turd!

I want to get the right set in one trip, and if I knew the exact size, if I could get many at once in bulk!

Gibson Basses / Money Bass Bridge question..........
« on: February 02, 2009, 05:14:46 AM »
All,

For the life of me, I cannot find the hex wrench that fits the Money bass' bridge so I can fix the intonation and string height............what size key is this so I can get a new one??  Also, can these keys be bought in 'bulk' online somehwere rather than get a whole wrench set??

Thanks!

I might be nutz on two occasions:

1) I never heard Freebird until this post.  I listented to it a few times....the version on Youtube that comes up first....it seems towards the end there's some high stuff on the bass that I would figure wouldn't be so easy if it's past the 15th fret....for that Thunderbird........just kinda had me thinking it's another bass type altogether.

2) I like the finish.

be very careful tho. the exsisting holes need to be redrilled slightly and they will come very close to touching each other.

You'd have to skin the black plastic off the pups to get chrome covers to work, I've done it.
Mike's pup's and rings would be a nice easy alternate.

The 'Bird in question.........My '89.

Mark,

The holes in the headstock line up with Grovers, just a bigger hole?

And IIRC, taking off that plastic is a bit of a nightmare???

....and nice Bird!  Think that's my fave (aside from the orange one you have on the way)

Question perhaps more for Mark, but if anyone knows, please chime in..

1) Will the chrome pickup covers work on a regular 2002 Gibson Thunderbird?
2) Will those chrome tuning keys work on a 2002 T-bird???

Thanks!

Allright, For all its worth I was out looking at paint today...............Looked at Panther Pink and Gomango especially................But Metallic Orange won out. It'll be nice with CHROME (as in not black!)  hardware............ ;)

Mark....great minds think alike.....many times I've looked at my black t-bird thinking that it would be cool in a metallic orange (my favorite color) with chrome..really looking forward to seeing the end results of your new T-bird........

ya.....kind of funny though......here I am looking for one of these p-guardsfor 2 years, and I'm 15 minutes away from buying this smashed Epi bird for one, and it turns out I couldn't have even used it!  Special Thanks to spidey-senses!!

So now I may be onto this:

.................so with 15 minutes to go before auction closes and I bid, I decide to take the pickguard off my T-bird....and my last minute SPIDEY-SENSE LIKE TINGLING was right:  It's routed under there for the neck pickup!  I thought it was solid!  Glad I didn't bid on that!!! :)

That said, I'll just go for the whole Epi now :)
