The Outpost Cafe / Re: So, what have you been listening to lately?

Sebastian Bach is a hard act to follow, but Fräulein Hale doesn't do a half-bad job here ...

I also think my fellow countraman Eric Grönwall did a great job. The clip is from one of the first series of shows he did in Skid Row. He came in as recovering cancer patient and unfortunately his body could'nt cope with any lengthy touring in the long run so he had to jump ship recently after 2 years in the band. A pretty relaxed newcomer considering he is a big Sebastian Bach fan and knew what shoes he had to fill (hang on for that high pitch scream at 5:19):

He's in serious need of a good psychiatric.

The ZZ Top Worldwide Texas Tour that went on for several years (around 75-77) was huge. They used shticks like having livestock, vultures and rattlesnakes on stage but I've never heard of any faking og the musical performance. It was a massive production with great revenue.

Not tone deaf, they hear that something is wrong alright, but they are unable to determine that you are the culprit!

Haha, that reminds me of a happening at a gig about 15 years ago. It was an extra gig really since we actually broke up the band 2 months earlier. The opening song had the lead guitarist doing the intro and the rest of us made a bombastic entry. Sounded like crap and lead guitarist meaningly pointing to our side of the stage (rhythm guitarist and me). I quickly turned on my tuner for half a second in spite of being 99.9% certain we were ok then and pointed back at him. The look on his face was great to see. He had tuned his guitar a half step up from us. I'd guess he might have regretted smoking that "strong" tobacco before the gig. I might add that the breakup of the band had a lot to do with that guy.

Yup, exactly. I bought my solid headstock '69 EB-3 22 years ago. Nothing to write home about but at least I joined the Gibson section of the Dudepit.

I think it was a nice enough job, except that Batio's speedy solo parts sounds totally out of context. It's more like the Super Mario Bros theme sped up x20.

 Yup, that worked fairly well 30+ years ago and Alan might have been interpreted as being a bit more complimentary. Or......?? I wonder what a bald, wild, creek living beaver looks like? Hmm, well maybe something like this:

To me it looks like the disallignments differ between pic 1 and pic 5, so I'd agree with both Rob, Dave and not to forget definitely Alan who probably solved the mystery.

That back cover is probably mounted there straight after the potting was poured into the cover. That's why it has stuck to the back.

R.I.P. Great guitar player AND singer. I wonder why he never got a proper solo deal? I'm not well educated regarding his songwriting contributions though but I have a hunch they were'nt many. Maybe he was that guy who did'nt particularly write songs?

I remember that John had the Gizmotron installed on one of his basses. It may have been during the Dudepit days he posted about it.
