BaCH Fenderbird quick demo

Here's a quick video demo of the BaCH FT -1 OR aka Fenderbird.
This thing sounds great straight out of the box.

The audio is straight into the computer. No effects, no amp.

Are those the Artecs? Sounds good, especially with the pick. You look too stern, though.

To me it sounds like any generic J-type bass. No "signature sound". Looks cool though.

Nah, a Jazz bass sounds different to my ears. Less growl/bark. Less compression.

I doubt it had anything to do with that. All it would take is for the BaCH to come to their attention.

Not only did Bach beat Gibson to the punch, they made a better looking "reissue".

No doubt the BaCHbird was more faithful to the originals than the Gibson. And it never would have come about if it weren't for Rob's hard work.

And I still think BaCH could have done an even better job, if only they had interpreted my multi-layered Adobe Illustrator documents properly.
Months after the first series was released I found out their software was so outdated they only saw one layer of the drawings. The layer where the cavities were drawn did not show on their computer. And neither did the layer with the pick guard.
If their software had been up to date, they would undoubtedly have made the controls cavity and pick guard the correct shape...

I discovered this when they made the Fenderbird all wrong (wrong pick guard, wrong knob placement).
Before I found out, I just thought they were ignorant

That was between series II and series III of the BaCHbird.
The main adjustment they did between BaCHbird series I and series II was the body thickness.
BaCH never corrected the pickguard shape nor control cavity shape.
