Ever since I lived deepinahearta TX for 13 years, I have liked Shiner Bock, the national beer of Texas. This time of year, my special favorite is Shiner Holiday Cheer, which is brewed with peaches and pecans, and is only available during the holidays. It's delicious.

I just stopped by their website and discovered that they have a sense of humor in the videos available there and on YouTube.

Enjoy.

And there are more to enjoy.

Cute commercials. Not a big fan of Shiner or bock in general.

Holiday Cheer doesn't sound appealing to me. Peaches and pecans? No thanks.

Jax Beer was real beer.

I like Shiner, I visit Texas about once a year and do my best to deplete the supply while I'm there.

When back home in the 13th Colony I try to stick to locals.  Monday Night Brewing has a Belgian-wit that I like a lot called Fu-man-bru.  All their label names are kind of silly but I like the beer.

And I always have a six back of this around in case the power goes out....

I too drink mostly locals...but also an occasional Shiner...or Rolling Rock

The Rolling Rock is for when I am not feeling as "affluent" as other times...

I've been OTP my whole ATL time.  I lived in Smyrna/Vinings area for 5 years and moved WAY out when I got married 2 years ago.  Now I can be seen roaming around Sugar Hill/Buford - and you thought YOU were OTP! ;D

In about three weeks, I'm heading up to Duluth by Dave's favorite pond, Lake Superior. We stay at the Fitger's Hotel, renovated out of an old Duluth Brewery. They've had a great micro brew going on there long before everybody else was getting into it. Schells Brewery is or was making original Fitger's Beer, I thought it tasted like ass.............

There's no such thing as gravity, the earth just sucks!!

Lone Star claims that, but it's not true. Shiner Bock is the favorite beer everywhere I ever went in Texas.

Further, if you dare to sip a Lone Star, you will probably reach the conclusion that someone's horse is sick and you got the sample they sent to the vet.

I don't doubt that Shiner is the biggest craft beer brand in Texas, but it isn't remotely near the favorite beer.

Three biggest sellers in the state, sad to say: Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light

Fitger's Brewhouse and Fitger's Brewery are completely different companies. Confusing, I know.

Fitger's Brewhouse brews craft beers on premises.

Fitger's Brewery makes the bottled Fitger's Beer you see in stores up in the Northland. Schell's owned the brand in the 70s, maybe into the 80s, but hasn't for many years.

A. Nope, Miller Lite, Coors Light.
B. Having never lived anywhere but Texas in my whole 57 years I've had plenty of Lone Star. I happen to like it.
C. Where you from again?
