Not my cup of tea but very nice workmanship...

Curious why he chose to build one but can't play...?

That last bit is just amazing.

He sure knows how to handle a chisel. He has tons of patience. Not keen on the style of it, to say the least, but that's quality woodworking.

Pilgrim

Agreed.  He has an artistic eye and serious woodworking skills.

He's spent a lot of time learning how to carve - not an easy task. He does some beautiful work for sure.  But egads I'm surprised he has all of his fingers the way he worked around the power tools! :o

Basvarken

Impressive.
I would have used the router (and other machines) more, if I had them lying around.

Basvarken

True! But that was also because I couldn't do that with the router

lovely work , speaking as someone who cant afford a router and has to use a chisel, I would definitely have used the router more.

I like the shape too, bastard child of a J bass and a cello

uwe

Impressive and my hunch is that sustain won't be an issue with this baby!

I like the look, sort of EB-1 meets Warwick Vampyre meets Epiphone Scroll Bass.

That is beautiful! I'd rock that! I fear for that guys fingers among other things. No anti kick back on the table saw or cover on the joiner and not a push stick in sight.

I don't have an anti-kickback on my 1954 Shopsmith, but at least I have LOTS of push sticks.
