Well, new to me...

I've wanted a BMW wagon for a while now and finally took the plunge with this 2002 525i. All the talk about wagons in the Gibson forum a few weeks back made me realize I hadn't taken any pictures of it yet. We're on a little family vacation this week and I got inspired as we drove yesterday:

It's not as roomy as the wagons I slid around in as a kid (always a Ford in those days), but it'll hold a couple 410s and a few cases, so it'll work for me. It's doubling as my wife's new kid hauler, so unfortunately it's an auto transmission (she likes the easy life). Still, it's a nice ride.

I know there are a few wagons lurking here... Whatcha got?

Nice wagon!

I bet it handles really nice. Aussie Mark had the weirdest one.

My wife's new Highlander that gets equal or better MPG

Here's a funny wagon wheel car a guy at work sent me a picture of

I think BMW has the best looking car range. Except for that X3 coupe kinda thing.

I'm not a big fan of the latest Bangle design direction at BMW

Chris P.

I think Bangle is one of the few real innovating designers in todays car world, who's style is reognizable immediately.

The same for Dutchman Harm Lagaaij and the guy who designed all the Alfas of the last decade and went to Seat. I forgot his name.

Which reminds me of a Detroit girl I used to know who knowingly told me: "BMW stands for BRITISH MOTOR WORKS, right?"

Of course she was mistaken or the cars would then be called: BMDW, ie British Motors don't work.

Nice little station, Herr Carlston, that must have been expensive, sure you don't need to release one of your collector's pieces (thinking of nothing in particular really ...) to the market?  :vader: :vader: :vader: :vader: :vader:

PS: No knocking Ford drivers here, I drive Volvos and they are just Fords with a different snout!
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

I'm not knocking Ford drivers. I'm knocking Escort drivers! ;)

In the end you Germans did win the war. BMW bought (Land) Rover and kept the good parts (Mini, 4 wheel drive systems) and sold the rest back to disappear. Fortunately Land Rover is doing well.

Volkswagen and BMW bought Bentley and Rolls-Royce.. You're infiltrated in Dutch and English Royalty....

As long as you're not implying that royals are inbred, or anything like that.... ;)
