@ Hollowbody: Nice basses. Nice sunburst on the Epi. Is that original?

It is original.  The lighting makes it look a lot brighter than it really is, though it is lighter than some I've seen.

All of you have beautiful basses!

Awesome basses everyone! I love it when a thread comes together! (To paraphrase George Peppard in the A-Team)

I think my favorite pic for sheer impact so far is Chromium's shot where he tiled his floor with basses!

here's mine..80 something Vantage Flying V       I have a dimarzio P. in another bass that will find its way here soon.i bought this for $40 with the body broken in half.i fixed it the break but it was still f***ed up 'cause lots of wood was missing, the ends of the V were also busted.this thing was thrown around quite a bit! :P so i fixed it using snowboard epoxy  8) (super strong and easy to sand) it was so ugly. :o :P i decided to pay tribute to my first bass so i covered it in skateboard stickers. i'm gonna put a coat of poly on top so they don't peel off.
:vader: Ps. i didn't pay for any stickers.

I just recently found out how fun short scales are.  I only own one of them so far... and epi eb0.  I'm THINKING of getting a short scaled ibanez semi hollow, but I'm still undecided about it.   My wife inadvertently got me into short scale.. She started playing on a 34 back in february and got frustrated with it because she had trouble with the fret spacing.  She wound up pretty much giving it up until a month or so ago, we went into GC for something to do and she picked up an eb0 and fell in love with the way it felt.  She wound up putting in a lot of extra hours of work the week she got it, and I couldn't put the thing down, so I had to get me one too :]    Here they are  HIS and HERS

Cool!:)

What's the story about the green one with the elongated pick guard?

poomwah

ahhh the green epi :]   I couldnt' stand the factory finish so I did some sanding and spraying... It's actual testors model paint, the color is called Lime Ice Metallic.  VERY deep metal flake that doesn't show up in pics.  The pickguard was extended to cover extra controls that I added after adding a bridge pickup from an epi eb-3.  The pickguard sits on top of a piece of 1/8 inch plexi with frosted edges.  The plexi is drilled for green leds (still waiting on that order to get here).  So once that's done, there will be a 9volt battery in the control compartment powering the leds.  Flip a switch and the ege of the pickguard SHOULD glow green.  Time will tell :]

That'll be nice! Your own Lightshow!

Please keep your eyes open for my stolen 1973 Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 4001 Serial # MD1582. It was stolen in November of 2006. Reward for its return. Thx!

Thornton,

See the post of Bert. He has the same Klira as the one on the right. Normally you see the doublecut (your one on the left) or the violin bodyshape, but the right one (and Bert's one) seem to be combinations of both. What about that?
