Ridonkculous. I wouldn't pay a penny over 14,000 for that trackball. Unless it has the original packaging.

Currently $74.32 at Amazon. But that's for a new one; this one's vintage.

Sellers who do this usually have some obvious motive, like driving traffic to their other listings or to a website. This guy just seems to be a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

On the other end of the spectrum, I've seen unbelievably great deals. About the time I was ready to pull the trigger, I noticed a huge shipping cost to make up the difference. I recall shipping costs of several hundred dollars to make up the price decrease. Add the two together, it was the same price as before.............

You don't see that as much any more since eBay now charges final value fees on the total including shipping. Now I would be very suspicious of any seller doing that.

I still see it - one of the trackballs I looked at had a $40 shipping fee. Of course, if someone was careless enough to buy it, as the unscrupulous seller I wouldn't mind having my fee taken out of a pure overcharge.
