Congrats, Al.  Enjoy it!

In a parallel universe I'm driving one of these:

Got it home - through a night with snow spitting, rain falling, stop and go 5:00 traffic...it was a long 70 miles.  Here it is just before I tackled the paperwork - that setting sunlight really washed out my face...but there's a smile in there.

It drives beautifully!  What a nicely poised, driver's car BMW makes.  And it got 27 MPG on the way home even though the first 15 miles was stop-and-go, and the rest was at speeds from 60 to 80.  That BMW straight six is one sweet engine.

Sweet ride!  But, damn, is that thing purple!? :o :P

And for my and Mark's benefit, it's dark red with a grey interior.  Cougar colors as a bonus!

That is FANTASTIC!!!!!   I'm a big Alfa fan, and that has to be one of the most unusual cars in the country!

I have much lust in my heart for the new Alfa 4C:

They're actually selling the 4C in the US...unfortunately NOT the 159, which went out of production a few years ago.  But in some alternate reality I'm driving one. ;D

Pilgrim

Yup, I like those alternate realities too  8)

Mea culpa!  On closer inspection it is most most certainly MAROON!!!!  Pilgrim has switched his loyalties! :o ;D

HOWDY DAMN IT!!!!
:) Now crawling back under my rock.........  Still a purty car though!

Pilgrim

As it happens, my PhD was earned at Texas A&M, so maroon would be within the acceptable color range. Whether this is maroon or red depends on the light. BMW calls it Barbera red, so I'll go with that.

I'm heartily tired of the white, black and silver cars which predominate today, so I'm very pleased this is a different color!

Me too.  When we bought my wife's new Forester a while back it was a new model and they had very few coming in to the dealership - 6 out of ten were sliver and of the balance three of the remaining four were white. We had to order up one of the green ones that my better half wanted.  Understandably this is south Texas and light colored cars make sense but I do tire of light colors.

That is so cool Al!!!!  A race wagon, how unique.  You, too Carlo!  What slick rides you guys have.  I'm gonna have to drive the GT tomorrow to get over my envy! 8)

Not me. The honor goes to Herr Doktor William.
