Anticipating surgery is always anxiety-inducing.

BTL

The surgery was a success. :)

It's one of my all-time favorites. :)

32" scale conversion neck build from Rafi Kirder.

My bridge patent has been published and is likely to be approved soon. :)

Ken

Nice!  What's unique about your bridge?

It's the first-ever 8-string (octave-course) bridge to offer individual saddles for each string, and the mechanisms and elements in the design that allow it to work properly have never been developed previously.

Ken

Cool!  I totally missed it that it was an 8-string.

BTL

Yeah, it's super-nerdy and fun! What's funny is, assuming the patent is approved, I can apply the patent to a 4-string bridge. :)

In other news, I'm updating the blue star bass with current hardware, which is all shiny chrome. The only BML option in shiny chrome is Schaller, and the best deal I could find was StewMac. Most of what I order these days comes in bulk packaging, so it's weird to receive a retail box. I'm excited to get this one back together.

Best of luck getting the patent approved.

Thank you so much, Dave!

Threaded inserts and tuning machines are on the agenda.
