I'm not very into J's, but this colour, matching headstock, block markers... imagine it with more chrome!

Doesn't look all that different from any other J, but I love the color and the matching headstock.  Add a bridge cover and pickup cover, and there's enough chrome to make me happy!

The color in that pic doesn't look like Sherwood Green, at least not on my monitor, and the one he's holding in the video looks more like Ocean Turquoise.

That's a great looking bass, but I've already got my "token Fender" (Geddy Jazz).

Yep, one j is a like just about any other j bass, but this color and the blocks are very nice!
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

What's the street price expected to be for this bass?

Please keep your eyes open for my stolen 1973 Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 4001 Serial # MD1582. It was stolen in November of 2006. Reward for its return. Thx!

I don't even know if it's CS, MIA, MIM, ...

Clayton talks about his influences and gives a tour of the bass.

No price or country of origin

With that price and the urethane finish, I'd say it's MIA.

Chris P.

Yes, I guess it's a bit in between the American Standards and the Vintage series.

Blocks without binding... nah.

Exactly. Woulda been a deal killer if I had been interested to begin with.

I noticed that too. I kinda like it with rosewood/pearl. Not a huge fan of binding. OTOH, I REALLY dig the black binding/black blocks on the Ged.

dadagoboi

That's a '66 clone: blocks, no binding with lollipops.  At least that's faithful to Clayton's original.

The high mass bridge not so much.  I wonder why they didn't use a threaded saddle bridge and clone his pickups if he loves the sound of his original as much as he says he does.
