Chances are there aren't any...  :o

Until a week ago, when my band put a video online.
But in the "post your music" thread there were only two replies, so I'm trying again over here.

And yes, I did use the 20/20 in the studio for the actual recording.

Have we gone ein bißchen grunge, Robbie-Boy?  8) And that Taliban beard ... tsk, tsk, tsk ..., they'll arrest you, you know.

Your Rickenbacker sounds nice on it, Geddy, what were the reasons why you didn't you use it in the vid again?

As we all know ... I have my issues with grunge-influenced music (and the harmony changes preferred therein), but this song is well-performed and the vid suitably darkish.

Now start shaving just a little again, ok?

Mark, where the hell are you when your unbiased fashion advice on hair and its removal in places other than the skull is dearly needed?

PS: I stumbled across a(nother) 20/20 vid once, it was some kind of mock pop reggae I believe, but all details are forgotten.

PPS: Flash thought of terror ... the new look, the new music ... is that 20/20 doing to Rob what the Venom suit did to Spidey?  :o

I did not want zissss when I put zzzzze 20/20 in hisssss handssss ...

Epic tune Rob! It's rock solid. I was surprised the guy playing the V didn't solo more.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Thanx. Lars joined the band after the studio recordings were done. So Mick did all the guitar parts. It kinda made sense to us to have Mick mime the guitar solo for the video.

But live they trade off solos in the end part.

@ Uwe : don't worry. I still use the Hobbit too. I used the 20/20 for about half of the songs on the new album. And the Hobbit for the other half. And my more bluesy funky side still gets out every so often when I play with Superfloor. Guess that makes me a schizophrenic musician?

Nice song, nice bass lines! Like it a lot! And great you didn't went the easy way with using a rock bass, but daring to be different!!!

Chris P.

Maybe I can get you a Warwick for the next vid?

Very Soundgarden, but cool tune. Vocals are great, and the bass sounds killer as well!

Basvarken

Thanx Tom. Yes, Soundgarden was definitely an inspiration when we wrote this song :)

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Devo's bass player used a 20/20 at one time. I asked a college buddy who works for Devo and Blondie if he knew but he said he knows nothing about gear.

...No Devo expert, but I do remember reading somewhere that the bass player in Devo had one Grabber or something cut down
to look like a paddle bass. I cannot verify this story, though.

Denis

I found a couple of videos of him playing what looked like a Grabber or Ripper cut down into a shape which reminded me of the pendulum in "The Pit and the Pendulum".
Found another one of him playing a black headless bass on the David Letterman show but it was so grainy I couldn't see any details.
