It's a late 50s to 60s Harmony. Pretty shitty guitar (no truss rod adjustment for example; no binding or top/back endgrain treatment). The acoustic sound is very midrangey (a typical low end blues box) - I like it for that, but it's no dreadnaught. It came to me refinned with way too thick poly, which sucked all the bass it did have out of it; sounded like a tin pot. I stripped and stained it, finished in Tung oil. I also had to reglue a few bits (back to the side at the butt end). Overall probably not worth the work, but I couldn't bring myself to hack up a nicer guitar for this project.
The neck is a nice vintage V (like the new Loar guitars, but not as pointy - either Loar exaggerated the shape or 2+ sanding/refins on this one took the edge off, litterally). Very comfortable to play, but I do wish the high E was not quite so close to the edge of the board. I used to own a Loar as well (higher end nitro finished one), but sold it off. It sounded a bit fuller in the bottom, but there was something about the midrange and treble that bothered me. Plugged in, this thing has bass for days. I always planned to make the typical Gibson LoZ circuit as an external stomp box (to preserve what body the acoustic tone does have), but haven't gotten around to it yet.
