In googling Rocco Prestia, came across these strings: http://www.mjcironworks.com

Anyone try these? In addition to their strings coming in a tin and having "RN Protects" (not sure what that is) they also claim that their "combinations and core-to-wrap ratios achieve the sound and dependability that working musicians are looking for and can trust to deliver a full bodied sound and a long life." They don't seem to make claims about specifics like tension or brightness or smoothness.

String marketers must be the descendants of snake oil salesmen.

It's no secret that different companies use different core to wrap ratios. Nothing new under the sun here, just marketing speak.

That's not to say that they aren't good strings, they're just trying to create a bandwagon for people to jump on.
