Killer Cheap Trick video here.  Petersson is playing this totally sick White Falcon-looking 12-string thing.

How does Zander manage to still sound virtually identical to when he was 20-something?  :o

  You don't want to know.

Well I guess I don't really want to know that badly.  Sounds ominous.  I've just always been very impressed that Zander has kept his range after all these years.  Most singers from that era have not.  First time I saw Trick was around '86, then a few more times since then, but it's been at least 6 years since I've last seen them.  They always did a great show.

That was good! One of my favorite songs off the first album. Zander does have his off nights, but yeah, he still sounds pretty amazing for the most part. The Gretsch 12er bass is super cool, and from what I've been told (a friend of mine is their stage manager/backline tech), it's the best sounding he's had in some time. Last I heard, it went back to Gretsch for some bridge tweaks.

I have seen CT twice in the past two years. Lots of programed vocals, especially back ups. To be clear I am not slamming them. They are enhancing their shows with their own vocal performances taken form their own body of work. People expect so much (ie sound like the disc) from a live performance these days they have taken the live out of live.

NOT

Man, I'd love too see 'em play The entire 1st album live. Or at least Mandocello.
Is Father Home?

I hung out with Tom a few times and they played a lot of old songs from the first album, Mandocello included. Fantastic band Live. It's Nice to see a REAL Proper hollow body in 12 string version....

Highlander

Only seen them the once, not with TP, '79 or 80 or so...

They keep playing this on Planet Rock... anyone recognise the singer...?

I've seen them many times, including a 3-night stretch where they played the first 3 albums completely, 1 each night. Was awesome.
TP is currently playing a Hamer short-scale 12, not unlike mine.
