The Blackhawk is sweeet. My grandfather worked at a Buick dealership in Cleveland from just after WW2 to the mid-70s. As a young child I used to sit unsupervised for hours in Specials, Skylarks, Electras & Rivieras and just make engine noises.

Sometimes it got hot in there....and the windows were never down. Perhaps that's why I became a bass player.

Cheers gentlemen.

I spent the better part of my youth repairing '66 & '67 Rivieras, my dad had four of them............... (I wonder where my odd need to collect things came from?)
Welcome to the LBO!

My last band in Atlanta was called Single Malt Solution. And 1969 is my favorite year for the Riv. That one year only floor shifter just does it for me.

One of the '66 Rivi's had a barrel like speedometer that turned horizontally, I thought that was pretty cool. The motorized hidden headlights broke a lot of wires resulting in no headlights................ I had a 1968 Cougar with hidden headlights that worked on vacuum. When something went wrong, it was usually a vacuum leak & the lights stayed open..............you still had lights.

What brand of #2 pencil? Pics?  ;D

I'm on the scotch train, my favorite also being McCallan 12 year old. Currently sipping a Glen Morangie and like Laphroaig though it is certainly not for everyone.

Welcome!

Glad you're here at the asylum!

Yes, welcome indeed!  There's pudding on Wednesday though you have to eat it with a rubber spoon!

Also, don't forget the squirrel factor.  On occasion the discussion shifts towards shaved squirrels  ;D

Love the Gibsons, I'm married to a Catholic, dig the Buicks (had a '72 Riv, '80 Regal, '94 Roadmaster Estate, and currently have a '38 Series 41 Business Coupe).  Haven't quite made it to scotch yet, but ales, stouts and occasional dirty martini represent a measurable portion of my diet.

Welcome aboard!  8)

But that cover only displays the front end?

This new member is fitting right in.  We're already discussing the back ends of shaved squirrels.
