Cool bass Bill.  Clearly I now need another hollow body.

Thanks.  This one is certainly a little different, that's for sure.  I'm enjoying it thus far!
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

According to my contact it will be introduced officially this week.

I've been anxious to see what that graphite pearl color was like.  The pictures on the MF site dont really give you much of sense of what it is though.  It might be one you have to see in person to really appreciate.

It showed up on MF yesterday.

I wonder if this will be a limited number run or last the entire model year. Either way, Uwe needs to get one.

I do not collect for cutaways ... I do not collect for cutaways ... I do not collect for cutaways ... I do not collect for cutaways ... I do not collect for cutaways ... I know they are watching ...  always ... but if they see me now ... not touching that bass with that different cutaway ... they will realize that I'm perfectly normal ...

Come on Uwe, it's a Midtown SIGNATURE. We all know you don't collect for fins or cutaways, but this one has a special NAME! Same goes for the 50th Ann. Thunderbird. You owe it to your friends here who live vicariously through you and your buying prowess.  ;)

That Sig. IS quite a tempting instrument. I wonder if the value would go down if I routed it out for a TB+ in the TB II position? In fact, I'd probably put one in the mini 'bucker spot as well.   :P

It's a different model designation, and from your previous statements regarding what you do collect for,  this should easily qualify due to structural difference.

... so quit being coy about it.  You know you have too. ... or with all these new models lately are you running out of space?

It has been pre-ordered in Graphite Pearl. It will winter in Minnesota before making its way to Germany.

Yep, the cut out is plenty enough reason to snag one of these babies.  I put flats (which ones have the blue silks?) on it and it sounds great.
