Yep, life is a journey that takes many twists and turns.  We just have to learn how to navigate it all and enjoy it no matter what comes.  Best wishes!

Had a few minutes to putz a round this morning and plugged the LP Triumph into the B-15 (using my new Ampeg 15" cab for practicing at home).  Wow, what a kick butt sound with a tube amp and the LP low z pups and flats.

I've been on a search to find a good combination with the tube amp and bass.  So far, the ThunderJet, an anniversary j-bass and the Triumph all sound fantastic through a tuber. I tried my 60's NR and 68 Tele bass and they sound really good, but I'm struggling with the thick necks.  Heck, probably about any bass sounds good through a tube amp if dialed in the way you want it.

Every first edition Tele Bass neck I've played has been way too big for me.
