It's early morning and I'm slow but what does "VS" in "VS reverse" stand for?

Lay off the VS that early in the morning. A VSOP is much better for you.

Vintage sunburst? Or am I not getting a joke?

planetgaffnet

Uwe...I should have bought a vintage sunburst reverse.

It looks great with that off-white pg!

I like mine a lot. Now, would I buy it today? Mmmmm, maybe. Will I sell it because it's not my favorite bass? Nah. Honestly, I think my new G-3 is a better bass and I'm much happier with that purchase mostly because the bass was so underrated (hardly anyone spoke about it) and turned out WAY better than I hoped it would be.

Duh, now I get it ... I'm horrible at abbreviations.

I think those look so cool...

So are these gonna start showing up places as used now? There's no way I can afford a new one, but maybe somebody will break the headstock off theirs and unload it on Ebay... (of course with how well my other projects are going, I shouldn't mess with something like this
THe bass the OP posted looks awesome. Maybe it's because I'm from the 80s the black hardware doesn't bother me as much.
Does a "Supertone" just bolt on or did you have to drill holes to change that?
If it was good enough for Danny Bonaduce, it ought to be good enough for fake bass players everywhere!

The Supertone just bolts on...remove the old three-point clunker and screw in two hex-bolts.  There's a volute behind the nut on these and as the neck had a chunkier P-bass profile I don't see many of these coming up headless!

There doesn't seem to be any in sunburst available anywhere at the mo' either.  I'd love it if they did some custom colours...

There have been at least five used ones sold on ebay this year, but they have all been blue. The last one sold for $801 IIRC.

A few bursts have been on eBay this year and there's one listed now.

But it is listed as "new other" and at a higher price than I paid for mine certainly new.
