I have a Leas Paul Signature Bass with 2 serial numbers stamped on the back of the headstock. They are slightly overlapping. Any theories on this? It is a Sunburst (more like a tea burst) version. Never refinned.

Highlander

First guess is a mistake by the person identifying the neck, and originally resulting in the beastie being classed as a "second"...?

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I remember seeing that bass for sale....I also have a sunburst Les Paul Sig Bass and tend to,watch for them.

Seemed odd. Maybe double struck by accident at the factory or deliberately to correct a numbering error....can you tell what the two SNs are? Any 2 and 5 or 6 and 9 reversals, since they look they same upside down?
