After being devoted for long time to Gibson and Rickenbacker, I am having a bad case of GAS for Fender. I immediately fell in love with bass VI and Cabronita, and I am building myself a black p51. I have plans and many parts for a floral blue, a Cabronita Borracho, a slab precision and a precision with tbird pickups and trying to buy a pink paisley p51'
Now the Squiers available here at less than 350 euro are fueling the gas to unexpected highs.

I ordered a new Squire Vintage Modified Jaguar 5 yesterday in 3TS. I'm looking for a beater 5er. Hopefully this will fit the bill. Hell, for $249.00 you can't go wrong.

Please keep your eyes open for my stolen 1973 Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 4001 Serial # MD1582. It was stolen in November of 2006. Reward for its return. Thx!

The quality of the Made in Indonesia Jags is really good.  I've modded a pair of the four strings, flawless finish and great necks.  One of the reasons they are so cheap is the value of the Rupiah has fallen 15% vs. the U.S. dollar (and Euro) in the last year.

If you feel that the quality of the Indonesian Jags are really good Carlo, that's comforting to know!

I understanding is that they're still 3-4 weeks out.

Well this is what you get for $249.00 Cdn and it weighs in at just over 10 lbs.

All in all not bad. However the neck and headstock have really little to no finish on them. I'll have to have to finish them with a high gloss lacquer in order to provide stability for the wood. Also a hi-mass bridge would be nicely suited for it. The bridge on there is pretty inexpensive looking although functional.

Love the Squier Bass VI! I was one of the first three people in the Netherlands to buy one  8) One store had three in stock, one of each color and I bought the white one. I've had it for about two months now and still haven't figured out what it's for, but it's cool. To me it's a really low tuned guitar rather than a bass with two extra strings. When plugged into a bass amp it's a bass (although not a great one), but when plugged into a guitar amp it's a cool guitar that makes you want to put on sunglasses and play in E minor. Chords sound really expensive on this thing. The Bass VI is built really well and the trem works fine, no tuning issues.

(I keep posting pics of my guitar until someone wants to mass produce it and pay me lots of money for the design)
