One more reason not to go to TGI Firdays. Like I needed another.  :puke:

The TGI Fridays here in Ohio that I've been to have been good. I've never had a cocktail from one because they are too far from home, but the food is good.

Apparently all the Fridays selling bogus drinks are owned by the same franchisee, who also owns some hotels, and hotel coctails are always overpriced even when they are not bogus.

Rubbing alcohol with caramel color sold as Scotch?  >:(  Get a rope!

How could anyone not taste that?

I don't see how. There are some really bad bottom shelf scotches out there but they're generally too sweet. This doesn't sound like it would have any sweetness. Maybe that's why people complained, which led to the investigation.

You're right, it's only one Friday's franchisee, and there were some upscale independent restaurants caught too. Unfortunately people will think all Friday's were guilty. The president of the franchise group says he's "shocked" at the allegations. I wonder what Friday's corporate will do, if anything.

I can only remember going to a Friday's once, many moons ago. Nothing memorable but okay.

I don't drink "scotch" but I do drink "malt" whisky... uisghe beatha...

It would be easy to substitute some drinks if they are in mixers... too many people don't really know what they are drinking anyway... all sweet sugary things with an alcohol base...
