Hmmm, this music store-brand bass looks interesting (Don R. Miller & Co)-PICS!

Thanks! I'm more than pleasantly surprised with the deal as a whole. The TNT 130 is a great sounding amp!

Those 70's Japanese neck-throughs are monsters. Is the pickup a DiMarzio?

Damn, that thing is beautiful!  And an amp with it?  You made out like El Bandito.

Late to the party, but very cool. I wonder if mine would look like that if I stripped it down.
If it was good enough for Danny Bonaduce, it ought to be good enough for fake bass players everywhere!

Dave W

Probably not. If it were appearance grade, with or without a veneered top, it would probably have had a transparent or semi-transparent finish. Only one way to find out, though.

Is yours a Don R. Miller bass, then?
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?
Clocks.

That TNT-130 will probably last forever!

I had one way back when I was 15, and could not get a sound I liked out of it, but I have no way to judge how much that had to do with being 15 :)
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

I loved those Peavey combo amps back then.  I used a Combo 300 for years and years.  In the late 90's I used a Mark VIII head with a Peavey 410 cab.

I think that other neck through bass is a J.B. Player, Denis.

I have a minty mid 80's that can be yours if you are feeling that nostalgic.  They do respond well to a sans amp.
