This Longhorn should be worth the risk!

Saw it on the Guitar Center used section, posted this morning and now on its way to Raleigh. :)

Very cool! My favourite colour, besides the classic Copperburst. Congratulations!

Excellent!  My son had the blackburst.  You can't go wrong with a Dano for $99.

Mine is a blueburst...my favorite Dano color also. That one looks really cool. Congrats.

chromium

Congrats!  I'd have snatched that too if I'd seen it!

Glad something good came from something bad.  Hope it fills the JJ void a bit.  Kind of a prophetic sticker - "one thing leads to another".

Either that, or someone just liked The Fixx a bit too much  :)

Awesome! There's no way I could have passed that up for $99. Now I want one!

Gary... I'm concerned... very concerned... ;D

Denis, you jammy so-and-so... nice to have a bit of good fortune come your way... ;)

Thanks, guys! I'm really curious to see how it sounds. Rexdiablo's loaned me his Commie Red one so it will be fun to compare the two.

Great deal. Cool bass and I even like the sticker.

Congrats- That looks awesome! I need to play out with that Dano, if for no other reason than to match my speaker grills! You still digging it ok?
Go fast, take chances.

Thanks guys! It's in bad need of a setup and those strings must be 15 years old. I decided to remove that sticker because I was neither here nor there on it. There's a pretty substantial shim between the neck and body so that may be a sign of a more serious problem other than simply needing one. It's in remarkably good shape though.

Mike, I'm looking forward to comparing it your Commie Red one! Since it's been over a year since my JJ was swiped I'd forgotten how much fun a tiny little bass can be!

I rediscovered my reissue Longhorn this week. One in copperburst. Bought new strings, adjusted it and fell in love all over again:)

How did it turn out?

It's over at the shop. The E string perpetually sat on the first fret and there was a wedge shaped spacer between the neck and body. The bridge was adjusted all wrong too. Basically it was set up by someone who probably had never done anything before, OR quick solutions kept being applied without fixing the problem. Also switching the aluminum nut out for a bone one. Can't wait to get it back.

Overall though, it was in great shape. We'll see!
