Fred looks and sounds prettty good! Wasn't he quite ill for some time?
I'll always have a soft spot for those guys, they played my high school just before they got big. And I saw them here in Seattle at the World's Fair site as well.

A guilty pleasure of mine. Great songs! Man the bass is way out in front not buried like on their records.

Great bass sounds out of that Carvin - and a fairly complex bass part, too.  Really good stuff.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Great stuff...!

A big regret is never having seen them live...

Always thought of them as Canada's Foghat/Quo... to me, that's a tip of the hat... plenty more to be had on the tube...

Always loved BTO.  My high school band played this fairly unknown song off of their very underrated record "Freeways".

A promoter I used to work with handled many of their early gigs , before they really caught on. He booked them at the Windsor Sports Arena and gave me a bunch of tickets. These guys rocked the house ;D. I was seriously fudging my undies, thinking that these guys were my compettition for landing gigs :o. They soon outgrew my promoter and I didn't have that to worry about anymore ;).

How Jake will wince. He's ashamed of them.

I like BTO too, especially Turner's voice (and he is in fine voice on these new recordings) and Randy's occasional salsa/South American light jazz leanings that stood out like a sore thumb in their music, but at the same time made them original! And Let it Ride is one of the best Doobie Brother songs never played by the Doobies (BTO have admitted to aiming for a Doobies sound with that song).
