Kinda of interesting, especially since whoever did it took the time to cut the neck to match the original.

That has to be a custom made neck - check out the length of the butt end (the bit that sits in the neck pocket).  Too bad really because the original necks are amazing (rather wide but shallow - surprisingly comfortable even for my smaller hands).... also love those TBird headstocks (except when it comes to durability/finding a case).

I do like the Vic in white - looks great.... and the electrical tape works.  Refin or did they come in this colour?

In any case the price is about right.

 Boy someone went to a lot of trouble! At least the opening bid is realistic. Years ago a local store was blowing a CAR one out at $149 I should have bought it.

Mine was free.
My buddy who gave it to me hadn't used it in years and years, though he'd had it since the 1980s. He had a red '66 Mustang Fastback hence the galloping horse on the pg. I thought I'd just leave it in honor.
The neck had to be shimmed, pots had to be cleaned and the pickup mounting stuff had to be repaired, but it's a great bass.

Someone told me the CAR ones are by far the most common. I think the all black Victories are awesome looking though. It has a brass nut that goes a long way towards making the bass ring like it does. I'd thought about changing it out for bone to see what it sounded like.

No idea which color was the most common, but I've seen more of the silver than anything else.

Mine is silvergreen.  Had to shim the neck too.  Also love the brass nut.

Every silver I've seen in recent years has turned greenish.

I'm not sure they were ever not greenish.  Certainly every single one I have ever seen has been the same colour; even under the pickguard where the sun don't shine.

Have always loved the CAR ones.  For a Fender guy, these always sounded great.  The end of the finger board interfered with slapping, though.  The bevel on the fingerboard didn't cut it.
