favorite guitar tone

mine is supplied compliments of paul kossoff, leigh stevens, sam andrews, leslie west, henry vestine and robin trower to name a few. i'm quite fond of the gibson through a marshall tone with a few exceptions.

I can't believe, no one has mentioned him yet: Herr Blackmore. He wrote the book on how a Strat has to sound in a hard rock setting.

I also liked Tommy Bolin's effects-drenched, yet totally original tone. Has Gilmour been mentioned? And Brian May? Frank Zappa?
