Sounds like something interesting for people in the area able to go see something like this.  I'd like to hear a review of that.

I hope Paul will be well protected if Krist decides to do any bass-tossing tricks.

Sure is odd. OTOH it's for a worthy cause and people will pay to see them.

My opinion on this is that from what I've read Paul does like Dave Grohl, but probably identifies him more with the Foo Fighters than Nirvana.

I am interested to hear how this works out, but skeptical of the fit here.  I want to be wrong.

Mullet of Kintyre?

But think of it that way: Paul can use all of Kurt's lefthand guitars!

Will they play Seattle Love Songs? And Hello-a, hello-a, hello-a, hello-a, good-bye? That was always my favorite.

True. It's just a bad haircut. Or none at all.

Nevertheless, I'm expecting great things from the holy communion of those two "think positive!"-artists, golly gosh!

I LOVE that tune.  It's among the McCartney works I have enjoyed the very most.  For some reason I had never thought to see if there was a video for it - thanks for linking it.  Wonderful tune, great video.

Courtney Love is upset about the "reunion."   She is even more pushy than I realized.

Silly girl, there go her chances of becoming the fourth Ms McCartney!

I really don't give a damn about Nirvana (Cobain's death was tragic and unneccesary as any suicide is, especially at his then age), I don't even like the Foo Fighters, but calling Grohl, Novoselic and Macca "Nirvana" is a stretch. Bit like calling Them Vultures Led Zeppelin. And while Paul's über-enthusiasm has him likably chuffed at any invite he gets, his musical perfectionism (amply proven over his career and with often great results) is the anti-thesis to what Nirvana stood for and wanted to stand for. Neil Young would have made more sense with the other two if you ask me. But then it's for charity and already over!

It's not Elanor Rigby, but it ain't horrible, just unremarkable, more Helter Skelter meets Them Vultures than Nirvana, Paul just doesn't carry the suffering of the world in his voice like the deceased did. So Paul can play slide too - another thing learned. RD, low-hung, and green pants content.

A carefully crafted composition, loaded with hooks. :o But then I find that most Foo Fighters stuff sounds like someone let the tape run in the rehearsal room while the band is trying out new instruments too. Come back, Kurt, the-laws-of-Western-European-harmony-wise not everyone of your crimes might yet be forgotten, but you are herewith forgiven. Your emotional range might have been limited from dark to very dark to pitch-f***ing-black, but it was more meaningful than this.

Blocked by Fuse, in this country, based on copyright.  Bummer.   I was curious about how this was.  I can guess, as mentioned, that it wasn't really Nirvana.

It sounds Them Foozeppelinish, not my cup of tea at all. Come to think of it, bar chording in songs should have been outlawed after the Ramones debut - they elevated it into an art form, but we've heard quite enough of it now.
