I live in a neighborhood full of trailer trash, none of whom has been past the 8th grade and all the networks are encrypted.  Plus I bet we have more guns than your neighborhood. ;D

Good for them, if they're alert enough to set up security on those signals!

Maybe my neighborhood has the means to buy more expensive guns.  I have discovered that since I bought most of mine 20 years ago, they're worth a lot more now than they were then.  Maybe I'll thin the heard and turn a couple into that Gretsch Thunderjet bass.

BTW - my wireless signal still shows "Excellent" strength and it's working beautifully.  My TV now can run Netflix off the wireless signal without a glitch or pause...previously it was a real crapshoot and would usually drop out at least twice and need to reload during a movie.  I'm VERY happy with that ASUS router.

I've been thinking about bumping mine up as well for the streaming issues you mentioned.  But I just remembered that my there is a wired Cat 6 jack behind my entertainment system - sometimes it's nice to have a new, modern house.  I could do without the new, modern mortgage payment though >:(

I agree, cheapo routers are crap, but that ASUS costs as much as a new bass!  :o
I'd better use wire, I know it needs some work, but its trouble-free once you install it.
