Yeah, old Hannibal was pretty classy, except when we wanted to take you out to dinner.......

That would be FOR dinner....

Ouch, a semantic difference I failed to appreciate!

Is it black chrome plating or just black paint?

On the NR RI hardware?  Not sure, I'll have to look.

OK, I did it.  I can't control myself.  First, I moved the tone control and jack.  I like it!  I only had to add a little wire to the one yellow ground to make it work.

Here's the full chrome monty!  I decided to go for the ring as it hides the slightly larger rout due to the smaller pup.  I gotta replace the rod cover as I had to tweak the neck a little.  I had to take it outside to take pix as our version of daylight in the winter is clouds 24/7.

Unapologetically, Chrome kicks Arse!

NOW we're gettin somewhere! Lookin good. Gibson should sell an optional "chrome package" with everything you need to make your 'bird look right.  ;)

Thanks guys, I'm rather fond of the look!  I just need to get some longer pickup adjustment screws.  I had to order some as they require 1.25" long screws and I was out of them.

I plugged it in and those SD pups are super.  Powerful and strong across all the strings.  It's off to practice on Monday!

For those of us with a slight fetish for orderliness and linearity, that tone knob looks much better in line with the others.

Great idea.  How about letting people order one package or the other right up front???  Duh!

You bet Mark.  BTW, I tried everything I could to make a set of cloverleaf tuners fit the mini-TB headstock to no avail.  I had some Hipshot lights and numerous other smaller sets (Mustang size) and none of them would work without filling the old holes and redrilling or they would bang into each other due to their width.  I am a bit bummed about this aspect as I am a big fan of the leafs.

I don't know. Maybe it's my German ancestry, but I like the black better.

I got my controls sorted out, chrome pg screws, aluminum strap button on the horn. I am moving my strap lock to the heal of the neck. Bill who's a good source for a chrome three point and those Goth tuners?

Bass Parts Resource online or maybe Allparts through Carlo as he's considered a dealer.
