Hey, has anybody else looked at the label on their shipping box? Mine says it was equipped with chrome hardware from the factory.

It looks black to me though.

Wow, a labeling screw up by Gibson.  Who'd ever expect something like that????  My box says chrome too!  I want a refund!  Oh well, just another day at the Gibson plant......

Labeling mistakes or not, if I had the money I'd buy another burst NR from Gibson in a second.

Yeah, that would be great!  Don't hold your breath!  I'm waiting on 2 tuners from Bass Parts Resource.  I only had 2 and had to order a couple more.  It's nice when you can buy individual tuners when you need them.  I hope they come in before Monday night's practice, the bass is ready otherwise!

To be honest, I'd consider another one if they did a vintage white or cardinal red!  I'd even consider leaving the hardware alone on those two colors.  It wouldn't be that hard to refinish one actually.  It has crossed my mind!

Hey, I checked out the pots and I only have to extend one wire to switch the tone control and the jack.  Gonna do it!  Pix to follow.

That's just cruel! Such a funny company. "Let's put chrome parts on the Explorer, but we'll put black on the (sorta) vintage reissue T-bird!"

I, for one, do like the cruel aspect of it.

Ah yes, the acupunture model for the Chinese College of Medicine!  At least he's probably not feeling any pain anywhere else!  Is that a bass he's holding in his hand???  Chrome pins, what more could we ask for?

Always liked him. Kind of a sophisticated gory guy. Manners do count, you know. That SAW guy doesn't have any, Dr. Lecter could teach him something.
