I like it ;D. I'm also very on board with the Tom Petty and Sam Neil comments.

I'm also a Tom P fan. And our singer always reminds me of him. We aren't directly influenced by him and I think the one who wrote the song hardly knows him. But is sure is a nice thing to get compared.

I saw our new on eBay. We will go outside the Netherlands, but I know nothing yet.. Keep ya posted!
BTW: The album is out on CD and vinyl.

Sounds like Petty and the singer looks like Sam Yaffa crossed with George Kooyamans.

Great song!

That's awesome Chris! I also agree it has a surreal TP look about it. Like the song to.  :)

did your singer swallow bob dylan. ;D

I'd say he channels more of a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers thang ala "Last Dance With Maryjane" in this song...and the surreal video characters remind me a bit of the Heartbreakers' "Don't Come Around Here No More" video. The close-ups of the singer with the big mic reminds me of Petty's "You Don;t Know How it Feels" video too. The singer even has Tom Petty's TEETH!!!

I'm a longtime Tom Petty/Heartbreakers fan, so those things above are good things IMO.
I love songwriter based bands that know "less is often more."

Thanks! :) I will check those vids! And really: No Tom P in mind with writing and shooting the vid...:)

It's not those who write the laws that have the greatest impact on society.  It's those who write the songs.

That was most excellent. Cool song, played just right! And the video was nicely done too. Definitely agree with the Petty thing, but it's by no means a rip off of anything specific by him.

Tom Petty as regards the vid was my first thought too. But so is the music. Tom Petty'sh. Which is a good thing in my book as well. Pro production though inevitably the bass could be a bit more prominent in the mix, but I'm of course biased.

I will refrain from comments about how you have sadly hidden your TBird in the closet, Chris, and now play less manly instruments which aren't even really long scale, tsk, tsk, tsk. They wouldn't let you use your Über-Buzzard either?
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

I thought the bass could be a little louder too, but it's a group effort.. Next album we will try to have less layers of guitars. Our singer plays less and less and I have more room for melodic things and I will try some fuzzy things too!

I have to say I play my Bird a lot lately! An awfull lot. I will post some pics again:) Thet 1/2" sure makes a difference. I feel more manly immediately!

Great video and song a very pro effort all the way around.

I have been continually listening to the LP Since I bought it. At first it threw me a bit of a curve as its much tamer than you previous recordings. The singer does not do the screechy, hives thing voice  on this LP, which I kind of liked the rawness of.

Still as with all your music, I am enjoying very much. looking forward to your next effort.

Chris P.

Thanks!! yes our singer started to sing more and to shout less... Better imho, but sometimes I mis his shouting. New soungs seem to be a bit harder and rougher. Maybe as reaction on this album?

Good stuff.

I like how your vocalist is like Tom Petty goes back in time to hang out in the 60s London garage scene, from where he put in a phonecall to Dylan.

Also, nice vintage AKG D12(is it; his hand's in the way most of the time?).

:D Nice said:)

I think it is. Of course for the vid only.
The singer tried a lot of (expensive) mics and we ended up using an SM57 for all vocals...
