Lets not forget the GeeBee, basically the Star Fighter was a similar concept- You mount a man, stubby wings to a big engine

"Flying porcupine" they called it. Don't get in the way of that nose ...

as an ex-Navy Corpsman may i show you my little friend that really looked mean at night "Puff". after talking this little jewel dropped leaflets telling the VC where they could surrender. those of us on the ground referred to the leaflets as the "Chemlawn" guaranty.
