I wouldn't be surprised if this bass generates even more GAS for you.

Nice. Haha, now I wish I'd gone for it when I saw it the first time. Of course, I have the satisfaction of knowing you've bought two basses I've pointed out!

I was tempted to bid, and I don't play 5 strings OR non-revs! Great looking bass.

I was going to bid but I laid low for you Scott.  I have too many 5's anyway  so it has found a better home....  enjoy!!!!

Carlo any idea what is the story with the seller???

Tom Jenkins sells high end basses from a website: http://thepauperbassist.com/.

This is what he wrote me when he got the bass in March.  He's strictly a Fiver player and into green basses.

Hey, Carlo,
Well, I gotta say this bass is SMOKIN'! I absolutely love it. I played it
through my studio monitors and headphones and it sounds fantastic. The B
string really surprised me. On most 5's the bridge pickup is usually needed
to really get the detail but, wow...The baseball type neck is perfect for
me. I have small hands and like a slight thicker neck profile. The most
surprising thing for me is how light and balanced it is. I strapped it on
and walked around a bit and it's a jewel....The finish looks amazing, man!
You do a heck of a job, I'll tell you that. I've owned lots of boutique
basses and the fit and finish is as good as any I'v had. I'll gig with it
tomorrow night through my Genz Benz/Avatar 410 rig at 140db! We are loud as
hell...Anyway, can't thank you enough and we'll do some more business very
soon. I do want to get a 2 pickup model....Later!

Last week:

Hey, Carlo! Good to hear from you, man. Yea, I agonized about listing it. I
only had it up for a day to see what interest it would bring. Quite a bit,
actually. I ended up cancelling the auction. I just don't want to give it
away, if you know what I mean. I've gotten rid of ALL my basses to pay for
the new inventory I've got coming...It's such a COOL bass but I need dollars!

Mine gave up  ;D

Consider it lucky that my Kentuckian is unlikely to cross paths with your New Yorker (state) or she might get ideas and I'd lose a buddy... ;)

Or maybe the opposite would happen.

One mans loss is another mans gain  ;D I am VERY happy to get this bass. I will not become a overnight 5  string slapper but I do see a use for this bass somewhere. Like the fretless I picked up, great for Bad Co. stuff. It is a opportunity for me to grow as a player AND I get like the coolest fiver out there!

Wow. I am so glad now I didn't bid on it. I do so dislike baseball bat necks. Give me the skinny bitches.
