A friend of mine crashed his 1927 Pitcairn a few days ago. He's okay though he suffered a few injuries requiring hospitalization.

Here's Bob's plane before the crash. I've seen it in person and it's a real beauty. It was one of only 8 or 10 that Pitcairn built.

Here's Bob's plane after the crash. It's a real shame.

DANG!  He's lucky to still be with us!

I hope he and the plane are both repairable.

That's not good timing.  I got a 30 minute Tiger Moth joy flight voucher for my birthday.

Take the plane ride! You won't regret it. Some years ago I got a ride in a '41 Stearman biplane and it was probably the single coolest thing I've ever done. a few years later the pilot was killed in that same plane. Still, I don't regret the ride he gave me.

Who cares about the plane, he should be on his knees 24/7 that he's still alive. Talk about a guardian angel.

Positive thoughts here. Any landing you walk away from is a good one! I suppose that goes for surviving also.
