Somehow I knew this post would involve explosives.  Aren't you supposed to throw them first?

I really don't know anything about explosives, which I suppose is ironic considering I used to build and design flash pots for my old band.

I was curious about one thing - what happens if you drop a hand grenade into water?  Does that change how they are designed to work?  It looked like it went off almost the second it hit the water.

they work just fine underwater. the shockwave is what kills the fish. plus no pesky shrapnel flying around. that fisherman was guilty of bad timing. you have about 4 seconds after you pull the pin until it goes boom.
