I think that illustrates the difference between an accident and a collision.

More like a squish, actually.

My son joined a group of kids who formed a heavy metal band, but they haven't performed anywhere yet.
Last night, my wife and I had the band over to the house to play outside on the deck in front of family and friends.
No pressure, and all smiling faces, right?

It's a very quiet neighborhood and I notify most of my neighbors whenever we do this outdoor stuff, which is about once a year.
We're very friendly with almost everyone around here.

Anyway, both of my sons played a set together, followed by a set by this new band.
Just as the set ended (9PM), the sheriff arrives in my driveway responding to a noise complaint.
I usually try to stay upbeat about the small stuff, but this guy was a total and complete jerkoff from the start.
I know he has to respond to calls, but he was such a douche-nozzle in his body armor and sunglasses.
He starts spouting about the noise ordinance which kicks in at 11PM (It was 9:05PM).  Bewildered and amused, I thanked him for preventing a violation 2 hours before it happened. Un-amused, he told me "not to push his buttons".
I turned around and announced that we were now going to launch into a 3rd set...and the SVT was going to 11.  He was welcome to stay and have some wings. He sat in his cruiser in the street for another 10 minutes with the dome light on (probably learning how to tell time).

Somebody up north had borrowed my car crusher, or I would have used it at that point.

cops are not your friends. most of them have too much fire power and not enough brain power.

I remember the Furry Freak Brothers back in the '70's - some good stuff.
I didn't understand it all, but good nonetheless.

And I thought we were gonna go off on Sting & Co. Instead I get a news story on some burnout tryin' to stick it to da man. How disappointing! I'm sure it will end well for him. ;D
