Another odd variation on the theme. Looks like Barts, but it's a dot neck with a toggle switch. And is the s/n stamped AND inked? Regardless, the price is right.

That is odd. The TB-Plus is the LP Special didn't look like that. And the s/n is weird.

Must be a refin. A poorly executed one. Look at the orange peel. A refin would explain for the extra serial number too. The original serial number got filled up with paint and but still visible.

Yes, the fin is atrocious even for Gibson standards. If it came like that out of the factory, it certainly was a second. The two serial numbers thing is unheard of for Gibson, I rule out that they would do this on anything offcial. Those might or might not be the original Barts of a Deluxe sans the Bartolini name embossed or black versions of the chrome TB Plus guitar size humbuckers from the Standard version. I believe the Special line ran out in 1998 (the Deluxe line already before that, the Standard line was carried into the early millenium), so they might have changed the last ones a little.

Or it's all after market!  ???

The finish looks like cheap gloss black aerosol spray paint, hard to tell for sure  since the pics are so bad. You have to wonder if someone stenciled in the second s/n after repainting. I can't see that as being done at the factory.
