You mean not like Dr Feelgood did with their debut album and single in 1975 "to get that sound"!

That said, the Purps released unwittingly (because of a mixing mistake) a mono track on a regular CD as late as 1998:

They only noticed after release of the CD and left it as is for coming pressings not wishing to induce fans to dish out for the full CD a second time to receive a stereo mix of the track. For the obsessive, a stereo mix cropped up as a B side of a CD single.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Thanks! Last night a famous Dutch dj played us on national radio. Let's hope he'll do it prime time again:) And we entered some charts of two alternative stations. Not many listeners, but cool listeners!

Sounds like good exposure to me. It may take some time, but at least it's a promising start.

Thanks! That was our tv debut, 2 years ago. That kickstarted it all... As a starting band with two original songs, we were asked and we played for 1.2 million viewers (Holland has 16 million inhabitants). After that we played for a year in nice venues, got payed really well and that money payed for our debut album.

Mind you: The band still costs money;)

My son really got a kick out of that video, with The Who footage.
