of course if you read the comments the kids love it. this is right up there with the gene simmons and michael anthony masterworks.

cage's composed pieces made sense in a strange way, be it atonal 'noise', conventional tones or no sound at all. this stuff is shit.

That cut just reinforces the reason that the classic "bass solo" joke exists.

When I played for a living, my band literally had to FORCE me to do a solo.  I always hated doing one, and my solo was more of a duet with the drummer.  One of the last bands I was in tried to get me to solo in "Brown Eyed Girl", and every time the singer announced my solo, I would stop playing.  He'd go to the mic to try and recover, and I'd start playing.  He'd back off, and I would stop again.  It turned into a running gag, and I never had to play a solo.

I think I'm going to pass on listening to that clip, but I will share this - I recently saw part of a recent Crue show on VH1 Classic, and caught his keyboard and theremin "solo". Which, by the looks of what his hands were doing was totally tracked. Maybe you can hide that sh*t in a large arena, but the camera don't lie! I was embarrassed for the guy.
