Uwe Had me order one from Sweetwater as well, this was a couple weeks ago. Anyway, our contact there said "later this year" it's probably best to just let it go and enjoy the basses we all already own.

I was going to order one of the white basses. I held off when I saw that different sites had different "available" dates listed. Glad I waited because I was able to get something that I REALLY wanted instead of just scratching an itch.

Did you get that recently listed Ebay Sixx?

Nocturnal

Yes I did   My other deal had fallen thru so while I was asking for info I asked about ending it. No one had bid yet so he pulled it. Should be here Monday.

When I saw the listing I thought of you.  Looked like a good deal.  Congrats!

Nocturnal

I paid more than the listing price, but I think i did very well on it. Looking forward to trying it out.

Damm 747's!

They're working on one of SeaTac's two main runways so to keep up capacity they are using the new (shorter) third one - This puts air traffic including heavies like 747's in view of the front window of my house - sheese! Seeing one those things coming at you slowly with all it's flaps, landing gear etc hanging out is pretty surreal, they just lumber past and you have to wonder how the thing can fly in the first place.......
OTOH two weeks ago a B-25 flew over.....WTF!

A wonderful chapter in Boeing's history!

Ah yes... BUFF's... only time we see those is  during an airshow... I do remember seeing three fly out almost side by side "for real" from RAF Fairford, post 9/11... knowing what they were off to do left me with mixed feelings...

re 747's... as an apprentice I got all the classy jobs whilst on "American Minors", like checking all the internal and external lights, and in the pre PC/H&S world used to have to climb up the undercarriage (one foot on the hub, knee on the top of the wheel, foot onto a strut, clamber in, ignore the SKYDROL!) and into the wheel wells to change the internal lights - I could only just reach the covers to remove and replace failed lamps on the inner pair of wells...

Another classy job was replacing the back-up battery for the instruments - a monster of a NICAD...!

You guys are killin' me with your dyslexia!

I wrote B-25, not B-52  ;)
Like this one........Made by North American, not Boeing. Pretty badass plane too.
