I am one who thinks the guy has potential.  He has had minimal coaching in the NFL and not much training camp time.  The questions about him are whether he has the head to process all the stuff a QB needs to deal with, and whether his passing game can come up to NFL standards.  I think it's safe to say that his passing can improve; the question is how much.

But he could step in tomorrow and be an effective running back in a "slash" style, with a threat to pass.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the Jets use him in "slash" situations.

I'm with you Al.  When we first picked up Jim Kelly from the USFL or wherever the heck it was, I didn't want a quarterback with more protective hardware on his knees than the front end of a Mac truck and the running speed of maple sap.  Boy was I off base on that one!  Can you say Hall of Fame?

Greg Williams is a pretty decent defensive coordinator, but he's a washout as a human being.

The Saints' problems are just beginning. There are players who funded this bounty programs, I think we'll see some long suspensions.

Ouch!  Oh well, they deserve it.

I can't remember the player's name, but I read yesterday that one of them had funded $10,000 for the hit that took Brett Favre out. That's disgusting.

When I first heard about this, that game against Minn. was the first thing that I thought of. Those we some big hits on Farve. It sucks to find out this kind of thing about your team.

More on the Saints situation, it turns out that there's a recording of a Gregg Williams speech that just about proves his guilt: the story quotes from the tape. This guy needs a lifetime ban.

Barklessdog

That's just horrendous.
