What do you guys recommend?  I want an external 15" cab for my Scout amp so I can run two 15s instead of the 12 and 15 I have now.  Any suggestions on good quality ext cabs that don't cost an arm and a leg?  The Scout is a 300 w amp.

Check out Avatar. I've got a 500 watt 2 12" and tweeter cab with Eminence neos, and bang for the buck it can't be beat. The few 2x12 cabs I've heard that were slightly better cost two and three times what the Avatar did. I've never heard their single 15 but these guys build a good cabinet. The only thing I did not like was that they used wood screws to mount the speakers. I bought some TBolt anchors to replace them simply because I'm fussy about stuff like that. I would not hesitate to buy from them again and do the TBolt anchor thing again. Some think it is ridiculous to buy a new cabinet and then modify it, but again, I am fussy about stuff like that, and now I've got exactly what I wanted.

The Traynor looks good to me solid birch ply is the way to go.

Or you could look for a used Mesa 1x15 Diesel or Road Ready with the EV speaker. Hard to beat, unless the weight is a concern.

Good suggestions, I'll check them out.

Or, you could talk to me!  I've got an old Peavey cab with a JBL 15" in it, and I have been trying to sell.  Cheap, too.

Musicians Friend looks like they have a used one for $399. Maybe a good deal?

Avatar looks like they only offer a 15 with a mid 6" and tweeter - for about $550 or so with a Neo speaker(s).  Looks interesting but might be too _modern-ish for my ears.  That and they boast that they worked with the people on TB to develop it ???

What about the Scout Radiator 15"?

Good one.  In fact, my current 15" is the Scout 15" radiator and I was thinking of it as a fallback choice since it is pretty pricey.

Here you go.  I needed to figure out what I have anyway.  It's a Peavey 1x15 enclosure, loaded with a JBL 2032H speaker, rated at 500w
