Silverburst JCS
« on: February 08, 2012, 09:30:33 AM »
When I read 'sunburst' I hoped for a real sunburst. I like the Silverburst on Explorers and Birds, but not on the JCS.

I'm not jumping up and down about the silverburst, but I think it's kinda cool.

Doesn't look as nice as a regular sunburst on this model, but I kinda like the way it looks.

It looks decently done for a silverburst. Unfortunately the silver usually doesn't age well.

I kind of like the silverburst, it would have been even better if the pickup had a chrome cover imho.

No, not the C-word.... But yes indeed. This bass screams for a mod with a classic T-bird pickup.

I'm creaming in my pants for this. Wow.

Not collecting for fins was a real crappy idea.

Of course black pick ups sound different, so buy one.

Get the bass and then mod it with a Triumph pickup. We've already seen that can be done to good effect, and then you'll have a hybrid unlike any of your other basses! :)

A Triumph pup wrapped up in aluminum foil would do the trick. Use a piece that has been used in a barbeque and drive your bandmates crazy! :D

I think it looks great & would fit perfectly for a moody brooding, gothic or industrial band.

The bassist would be brooding and moody because he had to play a semihollow with no pointy headstock or body wings.
