I know someone here has it. Both an Epi and Pearl version of the same bass. Love it.

I have a Pearl Export Bass which is exactly the same bass from the same factory. Not in USA like the seller says, but Japan.
Bret has one too.
And Uwe has an Epi Genesis.

These basses are very heavy. The body is very thick.
It is a reason why I don't take it off the stand very often.
Even if I'm used to the heavy Les Paul basses...

Can't tell you too much about the sound anymore because I modified mine quite a bit

I have an Epi Genesis also, very LOUD, aggressive bass. All maple I think.

Yes, all maple, hence the Ripper association in sound.

I didn't know they made a bass version. I used to play i a band and the rhythm guitarist had one. I tried to get her to sell it to me, but she wouldn't.
